Weekend Reflections

A shop window with fat ladies. I think that is an issue in art at the moment, at an exhibition in the tulipfields here I also saw fat ladies. Are there no fat men to make sculptures of, or isn't that interesting?
Anyway the artist is a woman Betty's Artwork and on her website you can see more fat ladies.
In the reflection you see the pretty canal houses on the opposite of the canal. See for more Weekend Reflections here

  1. You got a fantastic reflection along with the fat sculptures. There is one fat man that is very famous... Santa Claus.

  2. I wonder who his models are? Rotund and robust women have been popular in art through the ages...consider Reuben.

  5. I am guessing that this artist had some inspiration from Rubens! Did he paint fat men??

  6. What a great capture and reflection! The fat ladies are unusual as far as being exhibited in shop windows, but a pretty common sight on the streets of most US cities!! Hope you have a great weekend!!

  7. Mooie Reflecties Marianne. De huizen aan de overkant komen prachtig uit. De dikke dames, daar ben ik niet zo weg van. Komt waarschijnlijk door mijn eeuwige strijd met de lijn.:(((

  9. I'm afraid if I put on a swimsuit I might look like one of these ladies so I'll just continue to keep my clothes on!
