Eyecatcher

It is not a real dog but it certainly catched my eye when passing.

  1. ha,ha Marianne, I would have thought on first glance, that this was a real dog. How cute :) You not only give us great photos and history but also you seem to catch the unusual to delight us with too. As we celebrate our Big Birthday here tomorrow in our country, I certainly hope the sun shines as the wet weather has dampened us for over two weeks now. Hope your weather is good and warmed up for you. This photo looks like a sunny day, with blue sky in background. Have a good one :)

  2. This window in The Netherlands would have caught my eye for another reason. The Dutch don't close their drapes....especially in the daytime! Has to be a foreigner !

  3. Lots of interesting details in the photo. The dark shutters remind me of Charleston, SC where so many of them are this shad of black yet they call it Charleston green. Odd. The carving under the eaves and the black design on the brick wall also caught my eye.

    1. The black design on the wall is in reality a construction to attach the wooden floorbeams to the stone facade made by a blacksmith. Bieb asked me to answer this question for her. Its called a wallanchor

  7. Dearest Marianne,
What caught my eye were those outdoor shutters; like we have here in the USA. Even though ours are only decorative and cannot be locked.
Hugs to you and enjoy a happy new week.

  8. I can see how it would catch your eye Marianne. I pass a house that has two fake birds on the balcony, it took me a while to realise they were always in the same position haha!
