Cycling in Amsterdam

Driving by car in Amsterdam is not a real pleasure at the moment. Many broken up streets and traffic diversions. So we floundered from one red traffic light to the next through the city and I decided to make some photos to kill the time.

As the bike paths are separated from the motorway I had a good view at cyclists passing by.

The white bikes are hired tourists bikes.

  1. So much safer with bike lanes. Must we very warm for them to be riding without jackets.

  3. Your city is so much more cycle friendly than most Marianne, such fabulous wide cycle paths.. Here they do have paths but not wide, most cyclists prefer to ride on the road and it really is a bit of a nuisance.

  5. It's great to see so much cycling done in Holland. We have to get more cars off the road.

  6. The Twin Cities has promoted and has many bike riders, but certainly not the number that can be seen on Amsterdam streets! What fun!!
