Mysterious signs

Different countries, different signs. I hadn't  seen this one before and didn't know what to think about it. No males allowed to walk with children in Sweden?

No red line through it, so males are allowed to walk with children here? I think it means that the male is just meant to be a person and there were places not safe for a child to walk or play and other places were all safe.

This one was easier to understand, a warning to trafic for crossing people.

  1. One could also read that first one as telling parents not to hold their children's hands--the very opposite, I would think, of what you would want to be conveying to them.

  2. Good signs, I got their meaning right away. Nice large signs too.

  3. Signs are quite easy to understand, perhaps because we have almost the same. The first tells for children a dangerous place, the second is a safe place for kids and the last one a bit of every kind ... :)
    Nice signs.

  4. I've never come across any of those signs either, but I agree with orvokki about their meaning.

  5. ha how strange? I guess one can't tell if a figure is a child or not unless there is a taller person with him or her.

  6. What would we do without the many, many signs that tell us what's what these days :)

  7. 1, no adults - kids on their own, 2. adults and kids holding hands - ok, 3. cars coming - run like hell. Makes no sense to me.

  8. I would never have figured that one out. I hope they had a lot of publicity before they put these signs up.

  9. Verkeersborden zouden overal helder en duidelijk moeten zijn, waar je ook bent. Nu gaan ze hun doel voorbij. Ik had de betekenis van de eerste ook echt niet geweten.

  10. I agree that the sign is a bit confusing. Not sure what they mean.

  11. They are confusing signs. Sometimes I think a worded sign would make more sense - even if you don't completely understand the language.

  12. Interesting to note that even pictures are hard to "read" in another country.

  15. At least they make you stop and look at them. Though, I am still confused.

  16. The meaning of the first two eludes me.
