A statue of Ir, Cornelis Lely (1854-1929), namesake of the city Lelystad and founder of the "Zuiderzee werken" (Southern Sea Works). It is made by Piet Esser ( 1914-2004) and a gift from the Government Department of the IJsselmeerpolders to the city. It is located at the coast of Lelystad.
