Floriade

The Floriade is  a world horticulture exhibition that once in the 10 years takes place in the Netherlands.This year it was in our city Almere. There have been many troubbles to organize it, the costs were extraordinarily and nobody could understand who wanted to visit this.  I have been there once and  was not impressed. Yesterday was the second time and I took a ride in the cable railway.

 A view over a highway was not so interesting.

 

But at last there were flowers in full bloom.

And I flew away with feather wings.

Insects in the City.

Watchtower

This watchtower of 12 meters high made of sewer pipes in Almere was open to climb on.

I had no intention to climb all the stairs in the round but hubby couldn't wait.

And there he is photographing.

Honey Bee

At an information market about nature in Almere this woman could tell you everything about beekeeping.

On top of a container this beekeeper with protection cap was looking in a beehive.

 And showed us the honeycomb.

Festival

At a Springfestival in Almere this "Johnny Depp" entertained the public.

The little one was impressed.
