Floriade

 This is a construction in progress of a cable car station in Almere. There will be organised a horticurtural exhibition "the Floriade" that costs a lot of money. Despite all the objections of the population here,  the government of the city is pushing through the exhibition.  The cable car cabins will pass over the exhibition and a busy highway and now there are objections that it is to dangerous for the traffic that will be distracted by floating cabins above the road. A never ending story here....

In october 2013 I spotted this lady at the opposite of a canal in Amsterdam. At first sight I thought she was a  homeless "baglady".

But I hadn't noticed the painter's easel at the right and she turned out to be a painter! Linking to "Our World Tuesday"
