Bikes
A bike parking in Almere City, along the "Weerwater". A common look in our country as most people have a bike and use it daily. Linking to "Our World Tuesday"

Water
It is not so cold at the moment so no surprise to see someone water skiing at the Weerwater in Almere.

A Pier
Earlier this year Almere opened in the Weerwater a 100 meter long pier, a wooden runway made of parallel strips with up and down waves. At the end is wooden wave of 3 meters high which is also a viewpoint. The pier can be used for docking boats as part of the nearby Safety Museum as for instance police or fire boats, but it can also be seen as a self-contained piece of art.
I must admit it is a bit weird construction, to climb the wave was rather steep and didn't gave a much different view than below. The only ones enyoing the pier were the gulls and they left a lot of faeces there.

Speedy
Last week I watched the Cable Waterski Center in Almere where this man was making very speedy turns on his wakeboard. He made also some spectacular jumps because he saw me and hubby making pictures. But is was so difficult to get the right moment to make a photo, he went so fast we both didn't got the jump.
One moment I thought I got him! But this was the result....
And here he had come down again allready.

Almere
The borders of the Weerwater in Almere City. Behind the fountain is the theatre and a high-rise apartment building. It is still grey here, the fog had gone for one afternoon, but is returning again this morning.

Swans
Almere has a big population of swans and each year there are many new young ones. I have once seen a couple with six little swans! They live along the borders of the big lake "the Weerwater" where they like to meat each other.
