My Mother's Day bouquet last Sunday.

 

Belated gift

 After all kind of troubles with the flowershop where my daughter had ordered a bouquet for Mother's Day last Sunday I received yesterday at last this wonderful bouquet with an excuse bonus in the shape of an orchid plant.

Mother's Day

My daughter sent me a beautiful bouquet for Mother's Day. Due to the Corona restrictions, no visits this year.

This is me with my mother in 1948.

And here we are in 2003. My mother suffered in her last years from dementia and lived in a home for eldery people in the centre of Amsterdam. I took her here out every week for a short walk and a cup of tea around the corner. In 2003 we celebrated her 89th birthday which she enjoyed. The next morning we got a thelephone she had unexpected passed away during the night.
