Orange Above

 Our neighbourhood is ready for the Worldcup Football or Soccer as you name it in English.

And the team (and fever) goes on

I just have to post an exciting  Dutch post after the Netherlands won last evening for the third time a World Cup football game, now from Chile with 2-0. More and more orange flags appear in the streets as here in Amsterdam at a cafe where you can watch the games. 

Another cafe has a big football as eyecather.

And one of the best known shopping streets in Amsterdam, the "Kalverstraat" has ball and flags decorations in our national colours, red, white, blue and orange. The games make everybody feel happy here.

World Cup Football fever

With the start of the World Cup Football in Brazil this week the country has turned orange, our national colour. This is how our neighbourhood looks now, all to support our football team.

The colours of the dutch flag are blowing in the wind between the trees.

This place is covered all over.

Even the hedge has the dutch lion. Although I am not a fan of football, I hope our team will win some games, otherwise the whole stuff has to pulled down again.
