This is the theatre for ballet and opera at the river Amstel. The Amsterdam people call it the "Stopera", two words together "Stadhuis-Opera", (City-hall and Opera). In fact the building has two functions, a city-hall and a theatre. The realization of the building has been very complicated and goes back from 1955 untill 1986.
