Sunday Bridges

The "Staalmeestersbrug" (Steel master bridge)  in the Staalstreet corner Groenburgwal in Amsterdam.  
A white-painted wooden drawbridge. The French painter Claude Monet has once painted this bridge.

  7. Thank you for this post. I have seen Monet’s beautiful picture but never the actual bridge. Monet is on of my favorite artists along with Van Gogh so I especially enjoyed this post.

    It is used to open the bridge so boats can pass through. It is a lift-bridge.
