Woody Woodpecker


This Great Spotted Woodpecker visits our garden so now and than. This weekend he came for a reason, he had something special in mind, he was going to make a great artist expression. He chose a hazel nut tree and started to tap the bark very heavy, we saw the fragments breaking and falling on the ground. After rather a while he was ready

and look what Woody has made, he is a real tree artist!

    Surely that is not a live tree although those around it seem so... great shot of Mr. Woodpecker and I wondered if Pimmie knew what he was up to...

    It is a tree in our garden these are all alive, but it is winter here.

    Wow he can do some damage! I saw a show on tv where a couple was moving to Amsterdam - it's such a beautiful and charming place.

    Well, I hope that he did not do too much damage as it would appear. We have other varieties of woodpeckers where I live and they are a delight to watch... Thanks for the answer ;-)
