Blue Jeans

In the Central Museum in Utrecht I visited an exhibition about Blue Jeans. This photo "Horse and Rider" was  the eyecatcher and specialy made for the exhibition.

What do you think of a keyboard always at hand?

The jeans made by designer Martin Margiela were rather "casual".

After watching the exhibition you could work with jeans fabric with the help of a seamstress.

There were all kinds of old blue jeans available to use for your own design. I didn't use the oppertunity, but it was fun to watch the exhibition.
sccollections has some nice pictures on his blog too.

  2. I chuckle at people that buy jeans with rips in them. I also envy the guy that thought it up.

  4. I love The Horse and Rider, how incredibly creative and visually appealing Marianne. Denim sure has been around for a long time now, Mr. Denim's heirs must be very rich haha!

  7. And I think of all the ragged and torn jeans I have tossed out in years past...a small fortune today.
