Monday Mural

At the Waterloo-square fleamarket in Amsterdam are the storage places painted with several murals. This is one of them appropriate to the stuff in front.

  2. That is such a neat mural and quite appropriate with the bicycles round about it. I love the markets or fleamarkets and sure miss them in winter. You should walk through the market sometime and take photos - that would be a treat indeed. Have a wonderful day.

  3. Amsterdam y las bicicletas, es una pareja muy unida. Y los murales no podían olvidar ese tema.
Me gusta esta fotografía, es divertida.

  6. It is like all the other bicycles flocked to it, praising their leader.

  7. Always bikes in your photos. I wish we could get more people to ride bikes here.

  8. Since there are no bike racks there, it seems so funny that people assumed it's the place to park their bicycles! :-) The power of suggestion. I guess. Plus, it's a nice little recessed area.

  9. When I first looked at it, a smile came over my face. I don't why but the mural made me feel good. Thank you.

  10. Hopefully those don't all belong to the person who rents the storage unit!

  12. Seems appropriate that bikes be placed in front of a mural featuring a bike.

  13. The mural seems to draw the bikes to it. I like the plastic fringe on the handlebars. I remember them well, along with playing cards attached to the back wheels with clothes pins. In our minds it made the bikes sound like they had motors. Thanks for the ride down memory lane. And thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
