New Ice Age

Although it is still cold here, we cycled yesterday14 kilometres to keep the muscles flexible. At the shores of  the dike along the Gooi-lake we saw these icy statues which is very unusual at this time of the year. At night it is still freezing and the day temperature is only 5 degrees C. The cold arctic wind we have for weeks now keeps the cold here, but the end of the week it will hopefully disappear.

It is a strange phenomenon to have ice in April, but everybody is so fed up with the cold here and want some
warm spring days. It will also lead to heavy losses for the flower and garden enterprises because nobody buys anything to put in a freezing garden.

  1. Ja dat is heel apart. Flink om zo'n eind in die kou te gaan fietsen. Mooie foto's. Fijne dag verder!

  2. You are not alone. The same weather is occurring in my part of Canada.

  3. WE haven't even seen the first flowers of spring yet and that is most unusual by now. I like your mini icebergs lined up on the shore, so many shapes and sizes. You bicycled 14K - great - I don't even have mine out yet but will soon. Have a great day.
