Driving home through the Flevopolder is very relaxing. It is one of the rare highways we have without much traffic. As SC drives I always try to make some pictures through the front window. You always have wide views and amazing skies to watch. Here we are driving along the IJssel-lake.
The wind turbines are everywhere in endless lines, in this flat countryside the wind always blows.
We haven't had much rain lately so the tulipfields are sprayed by the farmers. The sky looked like rain but it didn't came out.
Splendid photos taken of a dull day. The clouds in the background add so much to the scene.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am surprised that such a powerful spray of water wouldn't damage the flowers. maybe in this field they are just marketing the bulb?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWe're still just arguing about wind turbines offshore here in Virginia.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBig skies, wide roads and wind turbines, a very lucky environment Marianne.
You can just see that line of vivid colour in the last photo. I wish I could just go and have a closer look at the tulips there.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is funny to realize that 60 years ago your pictures wouldn't have been possible. The Flevopolder wasn't there yet at the time...
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenTypical low Dutch skies indeed. Looking pregnant with rain but no shower; you were lucky. That climate makes for superior gardens; quite contrary to our climate here. Enjoy your spring time and thanks for sharing the Polder landscape.
Hugs,
Mariette
