In Naarden this special sculpture catched my eye. It is called the "Climb" and happens to be the National Donor Monument. It symbolizes on the one side someone who had an organ transplantation and thanks to his donor climbs to a new life and on the other hand a surviving relative who climbs from a valley of grief because of the dead donor lives on in someone else.
The sculpture is designed by Egbert Hermsen and made by artist Ben Overkamp.
