Photofestival Noorderlicht 2013

Last Sunday we had the worst rainy day ever, after a night of heavy no stop rains, it went on the whole day long. We had planned a visit to the photo exhibition "Noorderlicht" in Groningen in the north of the country 160 km away. We decided to go anyway as it was the last day of the exhibit.

Well this was what we saw for one hour and a half, like driving in a shower.

But when we arrived the rain had stopped and we even had a blue sky. The exhibition was in a former sugarfactory which was partly demolished  and situated at a dreary area. It was rather exciting to watch the building.

The outside was an exhibition in its own way, great to make some photos.

The inside was fun too, this was the cafe where we had a cup of tea with a piece of cake made of suger beets and cooking-pears with some sour cream, very biological made. Tomorrow I'll show you more of the exhibition, in the meantime you can watch hubby's blog sccollections with his photos.

  5. Ja, alleen al het gebouw en de geschiedenis ervan zijn de moeite waard.

  6. If this building remains as an art venue I bet in no time at all muralists will have their way with the outside walls. I can see it all now.
