Concert

At the Harbour days in Almere there is an evening with a concert in the open air. It is always precarious how the weather will be but we were lucky,  no rain, only a bit chilly.

A challenge to make photo's in the dark.

The Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra was performing highlights from the musicals "Porgy & Bess" and "Westside Story".

With singer Kelebogile Boikanyo.

 Sally Silver and Karin Strobos.

And all together swinging with Andre Morsch.

When we walked home I managed,  with the help of hubby,  to get the reflection in the water in the  dark after several attempts.

  1. Very nice reflection; your efforts were successful! I'd enjoy an evening like that with the rest of the crowd. Incidentally, all plans, airfare and tour, are arranged for our Irish journey next June. Whoo! Hoo!

  4. The lights on the water are really lovely. If I were there with you, I'd buy a ticket to the concert...I can almost hear the orchestra.

  5. I'd think it might be cold too, but one guy is there with short sleeves. Very nice reflection photo.

  6. Beautiful photos of the performers.
They all exhibit a big tooth - the microphone, which I think is funny. The photo is perfect, please don't get me wrong :)

    Peace :)

  9. Dearest Marianne,
Wow, you got lucky that it didn't rain upon such a crowd while the Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra performed! Looks really like it was chilly when looking at how the people got dressed.
We enjoyed past Saturday a performance of part of the Atlanta Philharmonic Orchestra in our local theater. That was so lovely and it was completely filled up. Makes one very happy as music is a universal language and brings so much joy.
Your water reflection of the boat might have been taken in vain for several attempts but this photo is so lovely. How nice for sealing off a lovely evening!
    Hugs,
    Mariette
