At the entrance of the "Boijmans van Beuningen" Museum in Rotterdam I saw this sculpture. Couldn't figure out what it meant to be, I got the impression of an cardboard egg carton in which the eggs are sold here in the shops.
Well the sign in the pavement explains everything.
OK - still looks like an egg carton to me.....sorta.....you get the most interesting photos :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenEen beetje fantasie is wel nodig ;)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAnd something seems to be oozing out at the end.......
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSometimes art needs to be explained I think!
Happy Sunday!

I hope his love wasn't offended by the lack of effort in making this something more recognizable than a smashed egg carton.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm guessing it is a secret between him and her..a private love sculpture.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'm left with many more questions! I'm sure the artist wanted us to ponder about the situation.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGlad I'm not the only one still puzzled. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think she threw him out..and then threw the eggs at hm..
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHa, ha,ha, so funny!
VerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is just weird and why is it always called ART?!
Hugs,
Mariette
Well this one made me smile Marianne :) they do say good art needs no explanation :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is unusual! All I can think of is that my grandchildren would have fun climbing on it, but that is probably not allowed.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWell, if I were his/her "love" I would not be too impressed! I do see the egg carton there.
