An exposition on the floor. The projection of two hands turning over the leaves of a book.
This is part of the exhibition "On the Move", a storytelling in contemporary photography and graphic design in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
Photo's made by Ringel Goslinga.
An explanation about the photographer and this project of portraits, it is interesting to read I think and too much to type.
A photo project by Nadine Stijns about packages made for Filipinos.
I give you something to read today on this Sunday about her project, it was interesting to read something I knew nothing about.
Here a look at all the packages which are sent to the Philippines.
Ugh! That last photo. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInteresting post. That page turning display is amazing.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI enjoy watching people, so the people on the street photographs really appeal to me.
I love Filipinos. My husbands sister is married to a Filipino. They had a large family some in the U.S. and some not. There seem to be more packages coming this directions of things they miss though!
Echt een bijzonder fotoproject.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe first photo the image looks like it is floating. Hard to think it not.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou are right, I didn't see it before but now I can see it only floating.
VerwijderenI really like the photographs of the people on the street. What an interesting exhibit!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI just totally enjoy seeing people's ideas!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou do find the most interesting art!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI have a weakness for portraits. I will have to see if I can find these on line.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHuman faces are so interesting. Great exhibit and thanks for sharing.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenRingel's photographic subjects are very different from what you might expect from other photographers.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFunny subject as only last week, my husband Pieter and I were talking about ALL the packages we've sent off in the mail, back to The Netherlands and also carried in our suitcases during the 64 trips and visits we made for our family... That would be impossible to be packed inside our kitchen!
First immigrants, no matter which country, always feel the urge for doing so I guess.
Hugs,
Mariette
Yes apparently all first immigrants try to give their family in the homeland some of their prosperity. Funny you just looked back at your own amount of packages.
VerwijderenLove the projections on the floor.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenQuite creative!
Peace :)
I love the idea of the projection and the photos of people in Amsterdam. nice to read about the packages from the philipinos That must be very expensive. I didn't know there were many Philipinos in Holland. In NZ there is a huge philipino community I will ask them about the balik bayan boxes
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe 'floating book' is very interesting. ten million filipinos live elsewhere. That is amazing. Interesting post.
