Photofestival Naarden (2)

Another location for the photo exhibition was the Town Hall. The building dates from 1601 and is a fine example of Dutch Renaissance style with a typical double gable.

This is the entrance hall inside.

The exhibition was in the attic after climbing many stairs. The photos were of waterfalls but the photographer had edited them in a strange way to make them appear vintage which I didn't like so much.

From the attic I had a nice view at the Big Church.

On our way on the stairs we came along this pretty portrait of a young Queen Wilhelmina ( 1880-1962)

Downstairs I took  a look in the beautiful wedding room. Long ago I attended a wedding here and sat on the wooden bench along the wall at the right.

With those fellows looking down at me.

  4. Marianne, such wonderful pictures. I love both buildings as they are very unique. Interesting that you had to climb the stairs to get to the art displays, but you did have a nice view out the window!

  10. What a magnificent building. There is always so much to see in these old buildings. Nowadays there is no real craftsmanship used when buildings are erected.
