With the tourist season coming on steam, the living statues have returned at Dam square in Amsterdam. This one however had invented something new, sitting on a pole without falling down. There must be a trick of course but it was not visible, he was leaning backwards without hands on the pole and nothing happened.
What some people do for fun! I also wonder how he sits on the pole?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHmm. There does seem to be a lot of extra padding there on his bottom side. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am thinking there is a big round base under the rug.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHaha! I bet that gets a bit uncomfortable after a while Marianne :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenMysterieus! Maar leuk om te zien.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt's a good trick. Maybe a plastic seat inside his pants?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is very different. I know of a couple of living statue performers... it's quite an act to carry out.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHe's certainly got the full attention of the crowd.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIncredible view and one really wonders how it is done and what trick(s) are being used.
My dear friend Mariƫlle is back in The Netherlands and now I can visit blogs to leave some comments. Time went by so fast but we enjoyed it.
Hugs,
Mariette
Pretty neat trick. I wonder what is under the mat or the other pile. I wonder if he has a wee seat of some sort. Still, a neat trick and worthy to see.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWe have also this gold man in Helsinki, maybe he also sit like this here, who knows. I have to go and look at :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI wonder how he make this sitting..
