A green alley

I always like an alley with trees on both sides like this which makes a kind of green tunnel.
This is the Minerva alley in Amsterdam and one of the few "avenues" we have here.

It is planted with a double row wingnut trees.

With mysterious holes in it.

They provide a lot of shade in summer.

  1. Trees look very old and well-trimmed. Green is so very welcome after a cold, dreary winter.

  2. What a beautiful view and I would walk right down the middle of these lovely wingnut trees. They look like great climbing trees too. Kinda neat that mysterious Knot or Hole. Have a wonderful day. By the way a Lady by the name of Lori Johnson won the Harley - yes, she was thrilled :)

  9. I love also the green tunnels.
Your tunnel is great, and the trees are very big and old, I think.
