A week ago the weather was windstill and we cycled to the Public garden "Eksternest" (Magpie nest), I showed you before in July ((look here).
I hadn't expected to see any flowers in October but the roses were in full bloom.
And these bright pretty yellow ones were in full glory.
The nasturtium or Indian cress, I recognized from my childhood, my mother used to have a decorated tin to keep the rusks in.
Like this one.
Like this one.
Watch the raindrops of the showers we had before.
Even the sedum on the roof of the gazebo was blooming.
In my post of July I called this garden an Oasis and it really is. We are always the only ones here when visiting which feels like a kind of "Secret Garden".
I miss seeing roses. I think people are giving up trying to raise them.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBlooming flowers in October? How delightful and such a wonderful surprise. Isn't it great to be able to relax among such beauties?!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am amazed to see the garden so full of roses at this time of year.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInteresting that there weren't more people there, as it is truly a lovely place. How intriguing is that gate picture!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWho doesn't love a secret garden Marianne :) the little gate is the perfect entrance and the roses oh la! Gorgeous, even better that they were unexpected :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a beautiful secret garden, enjoy it always! I love that sedum rooftop.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like that gazebo roofing material. I wonder if Home Depot carries that.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenSuch a beautiful fall garden! I like the first photo. It looks so snug and cozy. I saw something similar in Hyde Park last fall, not as nice as this one though.
