In the shopping mall of Almere this woodcutting artist was showing his skills.
Another had made a sculpture of marl or marlstone, a calcium carbonate or lime-rich mud which contains variable amounts of clays and silt. It comes from the marlstone caves in Limburg a province in the south of our country.
An ice chopper making a sculpture.
And a sandsculpture in progress.
The municipal council of our city Almere has devised for some time a slogan to attract visitors to the shopping mall "Het kan in Almere" ( It is possible in Almere). I suppose these activities are part of the campaign and it attracted indeed some interested people.
These artist have skills that I can only dream about.
