A bike

A very new looking bike attached to a bridge is rather unusual in Amsterdam. Most Amsterdam people ride an old one in order to avoid it is stolen. I noticed the name on the frame and looked it up at internet. The "Veloretti bicycles" is a small and independent bicycle brand based in the historic city center of Amsterdam. The company is founded by a couple of enthusiasts with a passion for design and retro bikes. Their bikes are not mass-produced and they will keep it that way. I like it and
I think it was placed here by the company itself as advertisement as the tires look very clean.

  2. Sounds like a very good advertising idea. It looks a lot like the kind of bike I had when I was a child.

  6. Dearest Marianne,
That might very well be true for advertisement. In an area like Amsterdam, as flat as a pancake, such a bike is perfect! Looks nice and also sturdy.

  9. It is very good looking bike and because it looks so new and without wear, your theory that it was placed there by the manufacturer is probably accurate.
