Tea at the Station

Last week Amsterdam was overcrowded with tourists and people who had holidays. A place to have a drink was hard to find, so we decided to go to the Central Station.

At the train platform is a hidden pearl, a complete renovated former first class waiting room from 1889 where you can have a drink or a diner.

As you can see there were not many people.

And we had a nice tea with Meringue and Apfelstrudel, sitting in a comfortable leather club armchair.

  10. Elegant, right down to the glass mugs. I can imagine it filled with first class passengers and their bags a century ago.
