Renovation

This is one of the first buildings, dating from 1976, of our new built home town Almere Haven in the Flevopolder. I had a radically renovation the past months and was festive reopened yesterday. It houses a Public Library, a theater, a cafe , exhibitions spaces, a community center and some municipal offices. In short a multifunctional building for everyone.
It is named "Corrosia" after the brown corten steel used for the facade. Its popularly name is however "the Rust Bucket".

A look at the inside.

The exhibition area.

  3. It just occurred to me that you have so much space for galleries and museums because you have amassed so much over a long period of time. Our history is brief and we don't have o many things to keep and display.

  4. Leave it to the public to name something the architect or artist would not be very pleased with.
