Are you sure that is not 12 million. Not terribly fond of this bird...Although I guess many folks are. I see them feeding them all the time.
Hello, pretty pigeons. I like their cute pink feet. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
A pigeon census. Love it! :-)
Years ago I read that one city used birth control pills to curb the proliferation of their pigeons. Wonder if it worked?!
They don't seem to be greatly loved...I think they make too much of a mess!
Like Janey they are not my most favourite bird with their funny droopy beaks
Those city pigeons look pretty well fed Marianne :) or I guess they could be fluffed up to keep warm!
I like pigeons even if they have poor bathroom habits.
WOW, 12 thousand - Holy Bo-Pucky as we say here in Atlantic Canada. I thought 15 were a lot here in town. ha,ha
Dit keer niet op de Dam ;)
I like them, regardless of their reputation. They seem to be such characters.
Loving this image! Thanks for your participation at I'd rather b birdin' this weekend!
I think pigeons are the same all over the world!
Only 12000 pigeons living in Amsterdam? Here, we try to control pigeon populations.
Pigeons in the park. We made them for the birds!~
Dearest Marianne,Oh my, that is a huge population and will create a lot of pigeon-poop.It can be quite a nuisance and yesterday when going to our new Catholic Church I was looking upward into the tower like entrance and there were all spikes sticking out. Pieter said, that is from preventing pigeons or other birds to sit there. Indeed, they are called bird spikes and it is a smart solution as they can soil a building! And they can transmit mites.Hugs,Mariette
A city wouldn't be a city without them, it seems! :-)
