Temperatures have suddenly risen here to a heatwave of 34 C (93.2F) degrees. At a square next to the Amsterdam Zoo these todlers were cooling down in a bit of water.
Next to a look inside the Zoo with the spoonbill colony.
And the flamingos.
A perfect spot for an ice tea on the terrace.
I hope that it is not the last blast of summer for you. Our temperatures seem to be slowly falling which ames me think of the cool fall and cold winter.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLeuke zomerfoto's. En inderdaad maar de schaduw opzoeken met een koel drankje, heerlijk!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA perfect day for a trip to the zoo. Loved seeing the children playing in the water. Mine would always do that...and I have done it a few times myself. genie
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSensible flamingos standing in the shade, but when the sun shines we are all so much happier.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is very hot and humid here at the moment which I think is the same as in Amsterdam. The children are enjoying themselves in the cooling water.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWonderful activities of summer! Interesting to see the Lipton iced tea bottle as that is also a very popular brand in the Southern United States.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAny chance to cool down is a good one. From what I know of Dutch summers, that's dangerous as temperatures go.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt looks like you found a table in the shade. that is very hot for your country!...and I'll bet a lot of people have no air conditioning?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNow that's what summer is all about. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI always enjoy seeing flamingos and those children are so cute! It seems I am always looking for nice shady spots to sit like the one in your last picture.
BeantwoordenVerwijderen34 C is way too hot.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSummertime again - indeed.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove these candid shots! Your temperature is right there with Oklahoma! enjoy
