Last weekend we had the annually three days harbour festivities in our village Almere Haven. It was wonderful summer weather and after visiting SC in hospital I decided to have a quick visit in the late afternoon to get my head free of sorrows. There is always an art market where amateur artists can sell their works.
And there were games for children, watch that eldery woman at the left.
She was laughing and shouting "I did the hula hoop when I was young and I still can!".
It was a hype when I was young at primary school and we all played this. So she really made my day.
And after this male voice choir singing their shanties I felt much better.

This was a good way to relax a little Marianne, especially knowing s.c. was in good hands. I love amateur art exhibitions, sometimes you can find a real treasure. Much admiration for the lady hula hooping, it's not that easy ☺☺
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am sure that this helped take your mind away from your husband being in hospital, hope that he is making good progress.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSuch fun shots.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHet is goed om even afleiding te zoeken, ook al lukt dat misschien dan maar half. Leuke foto's!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks fun, and you really have weather like summer.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think I would have enjoyed listening to the choir.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat looks like fun! I don't think I could do the hula hoop anymore though. Too bad!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think this "elderly" man can still hula-hoop. Did you give it a go?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenQuite a place to be exhibiting art work!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI remember hula hoop. . . and the twist!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHarbor festivities looks like great fun.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSounds like stopping there was just what you needed. I use to love to hula hoop.
