Plastic Whale

I made this photo of a boat in an Amsterdam canal just for a pretty picture, but I noticed at home the text on the boat and I found out these people have a mission to clean the canals from plastic. They raised a company named "Plastic Whale" a social enterprise to make the world's water plastic-free and create value from plastic waste. It started five years ago with a single challenge to build a boat made of plastic waste. Today they have a fleet of six design boats made from Amsterdam Canal Plastic. Watch the link above to read more about it this nice company.

  6. Can't say how wonderful I think this is. Hooray for these folks!
Every day we walk the beach I patrol for plastic and clean it up. The most common things I pick up are juice box straws and disposable water bottle caps, both dangerous to sea creatures.
