A cookie

I remember times a macaroon was a speciality you could only get in France. And it was an exciting treat when someone took it for you from far away. Nowadays we have these shopwindows in Amsterdam, rows and rows of macaroons. The magic has gone for me it is just a cookie now.

  2. I know what you mean Marianne. It was the same before you could get Krispy Cremes in Perth, Aimee always used to buy them at Sydney airport to bring home, now we can get them here, we're just not interested 😊😊

  4. We don't have these macaroons (or I haven't seen). So to me these colorful cookies are lovely to see.

  9. In our family, we only had macaroons at Christmas and my Mum bought them at a beautiful store in the uptown area "Manchester Robertson Allison", known locally as MRA's. Love the colours.
