Creative gardening

When you live in a city as Amsterdam, not many have a garden. I saw some examples of people with "green fingers" who try to garden in the public space under a tree.

Even with exotic plants!

And the birds are not forgotten.

I read these gardens have an official name "nearby tree garden" and it is a more green project spread over several districts in Amsterdam.

  1. I like the idea. I guess when you live in a highrise without any outdoor space, you appreciate any space where you can put in a garden.

  8. It is good that these redundant tiny pieces of ground should be both loved and gardened by someone who cares sufficiently to enhance them.

  9. I've seen something similar on a narrow strip of land across from houses- beyond that strip of land is a fence, and then a ravine down to the train tracks.

  11. If the city tolerates it, why not? It's a creative idea.
