Paper Art (2)

I show you some more of the paper art I posted yesterday.

Like filigrain but it is art with a political message.

When having  a closer look you can recognize drilltowers which refers to gas drilling in one of our northern provinces Groningen.  These drillings are causing earthquakes there that have destroyed many farmhouses already. It is a hot item at the moment here, the government wants to drill gas but the inhabitants requiere a stop and a compensation for their damaged houses.

  1. I have never seen anything like this.Very interesting. I will now google about that issue. I feel curious about that struggle on the part of the locals.

  3. Het ene sprak me meer aan dan het andere, maar die fijne papierkunst is wel heel knap gemaakt.

  4. These objects on display are beautiful as well as an inventive kind of protest. Governments are not always responsive to the people they are supposed to guide and protect. Some are even worse than that as I feel about our leaders and politicians right now. I could go on and on, but instead I will concentrate on the beautiful artwork you posted both today and yesterday. Such a pleasure to see!
