In the land where bicycles are king, there are areas where they are banned... shocking. :)
Ach! Without an X across it, I might have interpreted the sign as saying the thoroughfare was especially for cyclists. :-)
very interesting ,hope people follow them
I am surprised cyclists are not allowed… but, thinking about it now, it makes sense.: )
Don't you have the red stripe across the forbidden signs?
Bicycles banned! Surely not! 😀😀
I guess the pedestrians at the flea market would have a hard time wandering if they had to dodge the cyclists.
Ben benieuwd of er ook werkelijk niemand fietst?
I would have assumed there'd be a red stripe across the bike too.
maar of de fietsers zich daar aan houden..vraag ik me nu afgroeten
Interesting, and a good shot, M
I would have though that the sign meant bikes were allowed too!
A red circle means NO on European signs. Though I think it would be more clear if they put the slash through it.
Bicyclists beware, banned bikes, bummer.
I thought it meant 'bicycles only'.... here, there would be a red line through the bike if it were meant to say 'no bikes allowed'. Even sign language sometimes needs an interpreter )))
Glad of the explanation/Some of these 'universal' signs aren't really so universally understood!
I am surprised that in The Netherlands that there is somewhere bikes aren't allowed.
Though I think it would be more clear if they put the slash through it.หนังตลก
