Shopwindow

A shopwindow of a shop with  everything about writing. Watch the elegant writing pens with ink pot.

This is the shop in Amsterdam. They also sell all kind of rubber stamps

  1. How about that. The feather pens brought back memories about my school day memories when I used to sit at a desk with a ink well and wooden quill pen.

  5. I had two aunts who used to write letters and sign cards with pens like these. Something you don't see often today.

  6. I like old-fashioned ink pens but I've never had one with a feather on the end. I think I'd choose the peacock feather. It's so elegant I'm sure it would improve my writing!

  7. You don't see pens like that anymore. I'm sure I'd like to step in there sometime.

  8. I would love to go in that shop. I bought my son a pen and ink set like that when I was in Austria.

  11. Although I always had to write in ink when I was at school I would love to have used one of those quill pens but I imagine I would have made a complete mess on the page. The window display is delightful.

  13. I wonder how they can make a living these days what with the Internet and all the social media. I hope they do well. I love writing even though I cannot write worth a darn due to a broken wrist that was never set well when I was a kid.

  14. They are interesting shops and their wares will become more rare as time goes by because people use computers rather than pens now days.
