Fietsflat

The" Fietsflat" is a 3-storey free to use public bicycle parking facilitiy in Amsterdam. It is located on Station island next to Amsterdam Central Station and has place for 2500 bicycles. The name is derived from fiets (bicycle) and flat, an originally English word which the Dutch use to denote multi-level apartment complexes.

At the other side of the Central station is another parking but it is never enough.

  4. The Dutch people have the right idea with regards to transport. Here, where I live, it is far, far, too hilly.

  7. That is incredible!!

Sometimes it takes me a few minutes to find my car in a parking lot ... I can not imagine how many hours it would take me to find my bycicle. I would have to take a pic or write down the space section and/or number. :))
