Drawbridge

No,sir, you have to wait until the drawbridge is going down.



The bridge needed maintenance, the man in the blue overall was testing the bridge and lubricating the hinges. At the left you can see the control machine.

I don't know what my camera was doing, but the last photo looks suddenly rather dramatic!

  1. That's quite the operation. They must do the lubrication a few times a year so the hinges don't get rusty.

  6. Wow!so interesting to see Marianne, we have a small bridge at the marina that opens like this to let boats through but yours is much more dramatic, especially in the last shot 😀

  7. Reminds me of a drawbridge I used to have to cross frequently. So frustrating when I would come upon it just about to open. :-(
