New South

When walking the Sculpturte Exhibition I passed some nice villas. This south part of Amsterdam is a rather rich one with much green.

Between 1920 and 1940 this aerea was constructed known as "New South"

There are nice apartment buildings.

With porches as entrance.

Or this magnificent  entrance to the hall. I spent my childhood in this neighbourhood but not in a villa. My father was a teacher and couldn't afford that. But we lived in a nice appartment in a less expensive part of the area. I always feel a bit nostalgic when passing through all those memories here.
