The Dutch Photography Museum in Rotterdam has a beautiful exhibition of the French photographer Eugene Atget (1857-1927) with old photo's of Paris. He is considered as the founder of the documentary photography and many of the buildings in his photo's of 1899 -1920 you can still find in the current Paris. Look here when you click on "open tentoonstelling" you can see the past and the present together.
Have a look at fellow blogger http://highpotech.blogspot.com/ for an action picture of me and hubby in Rotterdam.
Interesting, I expected something else when I read the title.
