Sunday Bridges

The pedestrian and cycle bridge nr. 233 to the Hortus Botanicus in Amsterdam is made of natural stone and is vaulted with a cast iron parapet. The bridge dates from 1877.
Here a view to the other side with the old Amsterdam houses.
This poor pigeon with one paw was patiently watching my efforts.

  1. I especially like the second one. Thanks for sharing it.

  2. oh!
Often birds stand on one leg and tuck the other one in close to the body. I hope that's the case here.

These bridges are why Amsterdam is so charming. These scenes are great, with the leaves on the ground.

  3. That is a beautiful bridge! I love that there is no steel or metal showing.

  4. Heerlijk wandelen in Amsterdam met zijn mooie oude bruggen.

  5. It looks like a quiet place. I like it.

  6. It makes a very scenic picture this very old bridge. The autumn leaves scattered on the walkway is charming too.
