Breton stripes

To honour the exhibition of Jean Paul Gaultier, (see yesterday's post), the city of Rotterdam has decorated some trees with the Breton stripes.

  1. When I first saw the wrap on the trees, I thought it ws some kind of protective strip against crtain insects, as that is what you would see around here. Ha, it is in celebration and to honour the exhibition - of course - I remember seeing the sweater in your other post. Very neat indeed. I love the photo of the street with the lovely buildings, stone patterned walkways n bicycles. NICE :)

  2. Now you've given me some home work. I don't know what Breton stripes are. It will only take a second to find out. I always notice the bikes in your photos . We are trying to promote more cycling .

  6. It seems to be the latest idea to decorate tree trunks. I've seen them with woolly scarves wrapped around them too.
