Jean Paul Gaultier

I went to a great exhibition in Rotterdam about the French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier. He is one of the most influential and progressive fashion designers of the last thirty-five years. He is most well known for his blue and white striped Breton shirts and the famous corsets with ponted bra cups, which he designed for icons like Madonna and Lady Gaga.

The dolls had interactive faces which changed and moved and was amazing to watch.

The master himself was also present in a hairy Breton sweater, making funny faces.

The famous corset Madonna wore in her show.

It is an amazing exhibition with over hundred and forty creations from the nineteen-seventies to the present day.

  9. CaT,
Yes amazing indeed. The world is becoming smaller, everything is known worldwide. I was pretty excited to see the corset so close.

  10. I think that I would find the striped shirts more comfortable to wear than the lethal bra cups!

  11. Yup I agree with Kate , the breton stripes are more appealing, although a lot less eye catching haha. Would have been a fabulous exhibition Marianne.
