Monday Mural

The entrance to the Albert Cuypmarket in Amsterdam is a real mess for years now. Making a new Metro in such a busy area of the city is a never ending story of subsiding houses, demolitions and the one lack of progress after the other. To make the entrance a little more inviting this fence has raised to hide the work behind. It is decorated with some products you can buy at the market and the Amsterdam singer Andre Hazes who has a statue here.

  2. I like this as it's an improvement over looking at a construction site.

  3. Overal hetzelfde, opgebroken straten. Ik zag trouwens op TV dat ze als gekken bezig zijn om zoveel mogelijk straten netjes en klaar te krijgen voor 30 April. Hele vooruitgang.

  4. The bikes look like they're part of the mural because of the people on the mural.

  7. I guess a fence is the lesser of the two evils. There comes a time when transportation has to be improved.
