This sculpture "Man on stool" is situated in the Westerparc in Amsterdam and made by Ronald Tolman (1948). His sculptures are mostly man figures who have some action. This man in fact is watching another sculpture, an abstract ornament, see below.
This abstract ornament is made by Liesbeth Pallesen (1955). Originally she had made a bronze schulpture but it was stolen in 1995. In 1996 she was told to make another one.
Here you see them together.
De beelden vullen elkaar goed aan zoals ze zijn opgesteld. Mooi.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenStrange but interesting.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery unusual sculptures.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWOW, these sculptures are interesting, most interesting and very strange at the same time. I thought I had the ability to understand most sculptures, but this one is intriguing me. Great shots.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOnly the man on the stool knows who stole the first sculpture.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI don't know Sinbad. there seem to be a lot of windows with the same view!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOutdoor sculptures vary so widely; I like this one. The abstract. . .not so much.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like this type of sculpture as the artist has made the sculpture and the city has decided to display it. The artist has done his own expression.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like that man on the stool. Not sure about the other sculpture as I haven't a clue what it is supposed to be.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like Sinbad's comment Marianne, he's right! I like the man on the chair very mich.
