Heavy storm

We are having a very heavy storm  at the moment. This picture is of hubby from 2011 when we went to the dike to make pictures of the wild water. We don't dare to go out at the moment it is to scary, the heaviest storm since 20 years it is called. Coming from the UK over the Northsea to our coast and now raging over our country.

Latest update!
When I had just finished my post our neighbour came along to tell us that behind our home a tree had come down.

Luckily nobody harmed and no damaged homes or cars.

  1. Good luck in that storm. I've been reading about its approach. I had to chuckle at that first photo, though. Reminded me of our television weather reporters here in the States that like to deliver their in-person news accounts whilst standing knee deep in water and having their hair blow to the four corners. :-)

  2. I wish you the best with this storm - I agree with Revrunner - your husband looks like the fellas that report weather with their hair strung out in all directions with that wicked wind. Keep safe n dry.

  9. I'd have to put rocks in my pocket to keep from getting blown away. Yes, the tree chose the perfect way to fall, lucky indeed.

  12. Dearest Marianne,
Oh my, we saw it here on the news and such kind of storms always are scary. That tree indeed made a safe landing without damage. Wow, for going to the dike in such weather that takes some guts. What a joke for being wig-proof, as written by Andy!
Hugs to you and hope it meanwhile has calmed down.
    Mariette
