With many people having holidays between Christmas and New Year, Amsterdam is overloaded with visiters. This is the famous shopping street the Kalverstreet.
The flowermarket.
Crossing the street at the green light in long queues.
A car! What's a car doing there? I wondered why the flower bag sign is in English then I figured it was aimed for the tourist. Too many people. I'm beginning not to do well with large crowds as I grow older.
Hi I love seeing other cites through other People posts and show my city.

Must not have been any good deals. Hardly anyone is smiling. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYikes I didn't realise it was this busy at Xmas.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAllemachtig wat een drukte. Geen lolletje als je echt iets nodig hebt.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks like a street to avoid during Christmas and New Year! So many people!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenJa en iedereen wil er dan graag even op uit..
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a busy place! Looks like everyone is taking advantage of the free time during the holidays. Hope you two are enjoying the time!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh my gosh Marianne, I feel claustrophobic just looking at these crowds, that's amazing!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou've caught a street scene with lots of excitement. I definitely wouldn't want to be in such a crowd.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWow, hope you had your Christmas shopping done before this mob arrived!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt certainly looks very busy!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDearest Marianne,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is very busy and such medieval cities have narrow streets as well! Makes it warmer in winter though...
Hugs,
Mariette
